ALERT:  When completing the Dublin income tax return, credit for tax withheld (line 12 on D-1040 or line 8 on D-1040EZ) to Columbus is limited to 2.0% even though more than 2.0% may have been withheld. Municipal income tax stays in the city where the income is earned; none of the dollars withheld to another city are remitted to Dublin; therefore, no refund will be granted for over-withholding to another city.
