Residential Yard Waste Collection
Regular Schedule

Residential yard waste is collected on Mondays. Place leaves and grass clippings in biodegradable yard waste paper bags or in a trash can designated for yard waste only. The City encourages grass clippings be left on the lawn to reduce the amount of yard waste. The bags may weigh no more than 50 pounds. The City also offers annual leaf collection service in the fall and Christmas tree collection service in January, as well as a chipper service for larger items. Call 614-410-4750 for additional information or to schedule chipper service.
The refuse and recycling schedule may change during a holiday week. Rumpke observes six major holidays during the year – Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Day. Should one of these holidays fall on a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday your collection will take place on Thursday. The changes will only be effective during the week of the holiday. The week after the holiday collection will resume on its normal scheduled day for all three services. This information is subject to change annually. See the 2012 Holiday Schedule.
Service Issues
If you experience missed collection or any other service issues please contact the Dublin Service Center at 614-410-4750 as soon as possible after the scheduled collection.
Yard Waste Diversion
Yard waste diversions reduce our reliance on landfills, while also protecting and enriching the environment by creating usable compost. Yard waste includes any natural material collected during the care of lawns, gardens, vines and trees. The City is not required to pick up yard waste placed at the curb, unless it is part of the curbside composting program or curbside chipper service. Dumping yard waste anywhere within the City, including public property such as parks, is prohibited and will be considered illegal dumping.
Yard Waste Companies:
Don't Bag It Lawn Care Plan
The City of Dublin encourages residents not to bag grass clippings. Through a regular yard care routine, grass clippings are left on the lawn, allowing them to work their way back into the soil.
Home Composting
The City of Dublin encourages residents to compost yard waste products at home. For more information on home composting visit the following sites:
