Auditions for “Carnival of the Animals”, Abbey Theater Dance Ensemble
Date: Saturday, March 20
Le Carnaval des Animaux (The Carnival of the Animals) is a musical suite of fourteen movements by the French Romantic composer Camille Saint-Saëns. The orchestral work has a duration of 30 minutes. The Ensemble will reprise last spring’s production with this expanded version of the classical piece by Saint-Saens.
Auditions for Ensemble Production:
Juniors (ages 8 – 11) Time: 3 - 4:15 p.m.
Seniors (ages 11 – 16) Time: 4:30 - 6 p.m.

Are You My Mother?

Time: 11 a.m.
At long last, Baby Bird emerges from her shell and expects to be greeted by her mother’s song. But her mother is not there. Where is she? Why isn’t she home? With the help of Dog, Cat, and Hen, Baby Bird sets out in search of Mother Bird in this colorful musical adventure based on P.D. Eastman’s whimsical and well-loved picture book.
Recommended for ages 4 – 8

Aesop’s Fables

Jim West Puppets presents the world’s most famous fables. With the help of Aesop himself (and his faithful dog, Moral), Jim and his partners share the famous fables, including The Lion and the Mouse, The Tortoise and the Hare, and the Fox and the Grapes. This large-scale puppet production also features the music of Scarlatti, Beethoven, and Chopin.
