Le Carnaval des Animaux (The Carnival of the Animals) is a musical suite of fourteen movements by the French Romantic composer Camille Saint-Saëns. The orchestral work has a duration of 30 minutes. The Ensemble will reprise last spring’s production with this expanded version of the classical piece by Saint-Saens.

Doktor Kaboom! is an interactive one-man science variety show suitable for all audiences. The creation of actor/comedian David Epley, Doktor Kaboom! creatively blends theatre arts with the wonders of scientific exploration. Join him for a sidesplitting journey of increasingly spectacular, and often successful, experiments and demonstrations. Doktor Kaboom! keeps his crowds riveted with interest and rolling with laughter.

The Pirates of Penzance presents professional opera singers and children (ages 8-13) together on stage in a fun musical storytelling journey. The Pirates of Penzance, with words and music by Gilbert and Sullivan captivates and entertains audiences as Fredric and Mabel outwit the Pirate King and his band of pirates. Opera Columbus offers a one-hour workshop on the day of the performance for up to 30 students to serve as chorus and supporting roles in the production.

At long last, Baby Bird emerges from her shell and expects to be greeted by her mother’s song. But her mother is not there. Where is she? Why isn’t she home? With the help of Dog, Cat, and Hen, Baby Bird sets out in search of Mother Bird in this colorful musical adventure based on P.D. Eastman’s whimsical and well-loved picture book.

Jim West Puppets presents the world’s most famous fables. With the help of Aesop himself (and his faithful dog, Moral), Jim and his partners share the famous fables, including The Lion and the Mouse, The Tortoise and the Hare, and the Fox and the Grapes. This large-scale puppet production also features the music of Scarlatti, Beethoven, and Chopin.
