Kid's Closet Information

Kids in grades K-5 may rent a table to sell their gently-used items in a community garage sale setting. This is a parent/child participation required program.

Space includes a 10’x10’ area and one table. Participants may bring one additional table and/or rack. Due to event popularity space limits are ENFORCED. Participants are randomly chosen for each sale space. We are unable to guarantee participants space next to others.

After registration, participants must complete an agreement form and return it to the DCRC, attn: Jen Vosters. Forms must be completed and turned in at the time of registration.
Set Up:

Saturday morning, May 15 at 8 a.m. Participants are not permitted to bring their items to the door and drop them prior to the start time.
Set up must be complete by 9:45 a.m. -
Participants are permitted to “shop” once their areas are set, however we ask that you are courteous to those still trying to set up and allow them the time they need.
Participant Responsibilities:

Participants are responsible for reviewing and complying with the current policies set forth by the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act: http://www.cpsc.gov/cpscpub/prerel/prhtml09/09086.html

Participants are responsible for reviewing the recalls listed on the CPSC website and not selling any recalled products.

Participants are responsible for loading and unloading their own items and setting up their individual space. Participants should bring a dolly to transport their items into and out of the facility.

Participants are responsible for the provision of their own cash banks, the pricing of items and the collection of monies from sales in their areas. Please bring plenty of change and bags for purchases. It is suggested that you also bring additional helpers.

Any unsold items must be removed from the Community Hall by 12:30 p.m. Participants are responsible for cleaning their space after the event and making sure it is left the way it was at the set up.

Only clothing, toys, games, books, and sporting goods for children in K-5 grade are permitted in the sale. VHS tapes/DVDs must be child/family related. Items not meeting these criteria will not be permitted. All decisions by DCRC staff are final.

Participants are not permitted to place, hang or tape anything to the walls. Signage may be taped to the tables only. Participants are responsible for any signage and tape.
