Grandparent University
Are you up on your baby basics? Grandparent University is an opportunity to update skills you may not have used in a while, a "taking care of baby" refresher course. Much has changed since you had your own children. We address how to change a diaper, (there are currently 385 varieties of diapers), the correct swaddling procedures, baby burping, and safe sleeping. We provide a demonstration of the correct way to secure a car seat. With many strollers being oversized, we review stroller etiquette and the correct opening and closing methods. Each participant receives a "graduation certificate" at the end of the workshop. Future aunts and uncles also are welcome.

Pickleball Happy Hour
Originally invented as a backyard pastime, pickleball is a court sport combining elements of tennis and ping-pong. This mini-tennis game is played by 2 or 4 people on a badminton-sized court with a lower net, a hard paddle and a whiffle ball. Pickleball is an easy sport to learn and most people can play the game after a short time of hitting the ball back and forth. However, you also can learn new strokes and refine your strategies. Register as a single or with a partner. Information and hands-on instruction is offered the first evening of the league.
