Dublin offers community a “look behind the greens

The City of Dublin’s Green Team and Eco Dublin will host an It’s Greener in Dublin four-part series throughout 2010. Each session is designed to help residents discover the ways City staff and volunteers are working to make Dublin a healthier and greener community.

City Sustainability Administrator Jamie Adkins will kick off the series 7 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 25, at the Dublin Community Recreation Center. Adkins will present an overview of the City’s current green efforts and the future of sustainability in Dublin.

“As we encourage our residents to take on greener, more sustainable ways of life, we want them to see us leading in these initiatives,” Adkins said. “Residents will walk away with an understanding that Dublin is taking great strides towards sustainability and that we are not just talking the talk, but walking the walk.”

The year-long series will consist of four sessions, each focused on an issue that is significant to the Dublin community.

The Dublin Green Team and Eco Dublin invite residents of all ages to attend the series.
